Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what Thesis (“we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible to run the service.

1. Information we collect

• Account: email (for passwordless sign-in), username, display name, optional avatar and bio.
• Linked identities: if you connect X, we store your X user ID, handle, name, and profile image. If you verify a wallet, we store the public wallet address only.
• Activity: theses, comments, votes, follows, reports, and direct messages you create on the platform.
• Technical: limited logs (e.g., IP address and timestamps) used for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.

2. What we do not collect

We never collect or store private keys, seed phrases, or signing material. On-chain transactions are public on the Solana blockchain and are not controlled by us.

3. How we use information

• To operate core features: feed, profiles, reputation, search, and messaging.
• To verify wallet ownership and on-chain actions such as votes and payments.
• To keep the platform safe by preventing spam, fraud, and abuse.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run Thesis (such as our database/auth host and blockchain RPC providers), and when required by law. Public content (theses, comments, profiles, reputation) is visible to others by design.

5. Security

Access to data is protected with row-level security and encryption in transit. Any third-party OAuth tokens we retain are encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure, so please protect your account and wallet.

6. Your choices

• Edit your profile, unlink X, or remove a wallet at any time in settings.
• Delete your own theses and comments. Request account deletion by contacting us.
• Note that information already published on-chain cannot be deleted by us.

7. Changes

We may update this policy and will revise the date above when we do.
